The Integration Foundation was founded in December 2019 by the Right Honourable Keith Vaz and its Patron is the American Civil Rights icon the Reverend Jesse Jackson. From the very start, our aim has been to deliver on the following purposes:

Is discrimination is the biggest career obstacle for women of colour in the NHS?

According to NHS data from 2021, black and minority ethnic women are the most likely of all NHS staff groups to experience discrimination from patients or colleagues. The harms they experience due to sexism in the workplace are compounded by their ethnicity.
