The Integration Foundation was founded in December 2019 by the Right Honourable Keith Vaz and its Patron is the American Civil Rights icon the Reverend Jesse Jackson. From the very start, our aim has been to deliver on the following purposes:

Cumbria Diversity Carnival brings hundreds together
Carlisle was awash with colour, music and celebration as the Cumbria Diversity Carnival 2026 brought hundreds of people together for a vibrant showcase of culture, unity and inclusion, writes Chris Jones.
The festivities began on Warwick Street, near The Old Fire Station, where participants gathered ahead of the lively parade through the city centre.
