Judicial diversity statistics 2025
The judicial diversity statistics 2024-2025 have today been published. Increasing the diversity of the judiciary is a key priority for the Lady Chief Justice.
The statistics show that progress is being made in some key areas. There is further increase in the number of women in the judiciary, and for the first time there is data on disability, thanks to increased self-reporting which reached the threshold for publication. The Judicial Diversity Forum (JDF) has also been able to report social mobility data for the legal professions for the first time ever and the judiciary continues to encourage judicial office holders to complete all fields of diversity data. Individual ethnic group profiles remain unchanged.
